Disclaimer: I asked him, pretending to be a beggar, “Would you like to give me Naruto?” and he kicked me in the face. Then I cried my little heart out, and went into the shadows, waiting for the time to strike once again! *insert evil laugh here*
Chapter Three
“Sa…Sasuke.” The name was drawn out of the blond’s shocked mouth as if caressed. Those beloved black eyes smirked up at him. Naruto looked at his childhood friend with wide eyes, taking in the sensually beautiful face. Almond-shaped black eyes, high cheek bones, pin straight nose, and FUCK, his lips… All put together with soft pale skin. Naruto blinked. Whoever thought he was beautiful obviously had not seen Sasuke.
“Speechless, ne? I’m that handsome, huh?” The loud musings from a certain Uchiha brought Naruto out of his dazed staring, and Naruto huffed and turned his head away with a slight pout, a light blush dancing over his cheeks. For once, he was glad for the dark cover of night, because blushing in front of Sasuke had never been one of his favorite hobbies.
“Che, you are so freaking FULL of yourself, U-chi-ha.” Naruto sneered at the black haired man. A black eyebrow raised.
“As if you could say that to me,
“Say it and die,” he hissed, blue eyes snapping. Sasuke rolled his eyes at the dramatic comment.
“You’re such a baaaaaaaka, Naru-chan.” Naruto frowned at the nickname.
“I resent the fact that you still call me a girl.”
“Whatever. So are you going to get in the car or what?”
Naruto looked at the other in surprise as he slowly came back to his senses from the shock of seeing his friend. He slowly looked around and realized that he was still working, and Sasuke -of all people- was in a car, looking at him with a smirk from the window.
“You can’t tell me you want…” he choked out, trying to breath as he looked disbelieving at the black eyed youth. Shock and disbelief immediately rebelled through his system.
“Relax, dobe. I just want to talk,” Sasuke smirk grew more pronounced as those black eyes watched as the blond got mad at the nickname. “Maybe kiss, too, if that’s fine with you.” Naruto eyed him suspiciously.
“You do know that you have to pay for the night, right?” Sasuke scoffed at the question.
“Of course I do, you loser.” Naruto wanted to give Sasuke a piece of his mind for calling him a loser again before just thinking against it.
“Fine then.” Naruto huffed as he got into the car, sticking his nose up in the air and crossing his arms over his chest.
It was dark in the car, and the beige leather car seats lulled him into a sense of security. It wasn’t like that other time when Naruto felt trepidation, with that overwhelming horror of knowing that something was going to happen and ignoring it because it meant more money than usual. That had been around the time Kiba had shown up, the day before, actually. And the night he got the brand on his stomach.
He sighed and allowed the heat to wash over his cold body. It felt good, and for once, he wanted to go to sleep. It had been a while since he had been this comfortable. He wondered how long it would last before the coldness started seeping back into him, from the outside and inside.

It was a short ride. Naruto watched the settings pass by with a bored slouch of his shoulders before he realized the familiar path they were taking to… Sasuke’s house…
He could barely remember it. All of his new dark memories seemed to outweigh the happy ones of his childhood. He could barely remember what it felt like to be so privileged and pure. He knew that he once had parents, but their faces had faded, leaving Naruto with nothing but that wistful feeling.
“Naruto…”
The blond stiffened at the name, and wiped his face to put on his mask once again before looking at his ex-best friend. Sasuke frowned when he saw the small strain in those blue eyes. Ah, so maybe the dobe had gotten a tiny bit better at hiding his emotions, but Sasuke could still see the real feelings in that gaze. He raised an eyebrow to show his friend that he knew about it before pursing his lips and continuing.
“What the hell happened to you, dobe?” Naruto twitched at the nickname and he scowled, his emotions breaking loose from his control.
“I’m NOT a DAMN DOOO-BEE, TEME!” With blue fire flaming to life in his eyes, he was just about to jump Sasuke with barely restrained violence before he was bluntly reminded of the car he was in.
“Uzumaki, please sit down. If you keep kneeling like that without a care in the world inside a car going eighty-five miles per hour you just might break your pretty little head.” Sasuke waited patiently as the car slowed down. He watched Naruto sit down with a huff before pushing the car to go faster. The raven rolled his eyes as he switched lanes on the highway then pursed his lips as he looked back at Naruto. “So, are you going to answer the question or not?”
Naruto avoided his eyes by pretending to look interested at the dark features outside the window, subtly pushing his index fingers together in a nervous motion. “Erm, just what question might that be, Sasuke?”
As Sasuke drove onto a street hosting wealthy looking houses, he took his eyes off of the road to look at the blond in exasperation while he ignored the blond’s screeches to look back at the road.
“You might be able to fool everyone else with that dumb play, but you won’t fool me, Uzumaki. I demand an answer, now.” Naruto sighed as his shoulders sagged in defeat. He looked at Sasuke with irritation that fell away as soon as their eyes met.
“Can we…” He hesitated as his blue eyes darkened. “Please… hold off on the interrogation? I just want to know how you’ve been since you left.”
It was so dark outside, and there were no lights at the end of the roads as a series of closed in houses dominated the block. Over the stone gates there were a few lights on to show the other houses. Around the cul-de-sac and gated community was a thick forest of trees. Naruto knew from experiences that there were a lot of animals that lived there too.
Dark eyes looked at him closely, and Naruto felt a chill go up his spine when he felt the sensation of someone peering into his very soul. He looked over to see Sasuke watching him closely.
“What?” he snapped, looking vexed as he scowled at his old friend.
Naruto realized that someone was watching them by the tickling impression on his back and turned to look at the forest. He shivered slightly; was it him, or was there some thing glinting? However, when he turned back, he was taken by surprise as the dark-haired man pounced.
The sensation of soft lips pressed against his was shocking. Naruto stared at the Uchiha’s up-close face with wide eyes, taking in the pale skin and dark long lashes that touched high cheeks. The pink mouth moved against his unresisting ones, Naruto’s lips parting to allow Sasuke’s tongue to invade his mouth. He tasted like spice, Naruto thought dazedly as his eyes fluttered. And finally, he kissed back.
It was a mesh of perfect-ness. It felt better than anything he had ever physically done, made him feel like he was precious and life was worth living again. Sasuke kissed him until he was breathless and panting, and he couldn’t help but feel so good. Never had something turned him on so much.
So, you’re probably thinking about why Naruto felt so good just from kissing. Well, it was one of the unwritten rules that prostitutes followed to keep themselves harmed. The first three rules were as followed. One, no saying your real name. After all, prostitutes had to live an outside life with a real name, and you didn’t exactly want to use the same name for fear of someone finding out. Two, never kiss customers, because kissing is something that only lovers do. Three, never EVER fall in love, because you know you’re setting yourself up for heartbreak. So Naruto followed them precisely and exactly, knowing that he didn’t want to hurt anymore than he already did. Until Sasuke came back, of course. But when did logic and Naruto equal Sasuke?
Their lips parted and Naruto kept his eyes closed, wanting the feeling of being loved last for all eternity. If he didn’t open his eyes, he wouldn’t have to face reality as soon. He listened as their breath mingled and fused with each other.
After what he dubbed for as hours later (though it was only seconds later), soft blue eyes opened and gazed into open obsidian eyes swirling with emotion. Sasuke gave Naruto a soft smile, stealing the blond’s breath. Sasuke was gorgeous when he smiled. Sure, it was only a small up tilt of his lips, but it made him look tender and… Naruto returned the smile with a hesitant one of his own.
Though he knew that he should be angry at Sasuke… well, he just couldn’t find it in himself. At the moment, all the rage, despair and hopelessness ever experienced in his teen years seemed to fade into a small glowing ball of hope.
